American Paint Company's Metallix are the only ZERO VOC, solvent free metallic paint available on the market. It is a waterborne shimmery and translucent metallic paint that will add elegance, style, and sophistication to all of your future projects.

This product can be applied to almost any painted surface or directly to raw wood.

Metallic will cover approximately 20 square feet per 8 oz bottle depending on surface porosity and application technique.

Metallix Paint is really popular right now and trending because of the different bright and fun looks you can get with the product. We have 7 different Metallix colours to choose from & American Paint Company has one of the only All- Natural & Eco-friendly Metallix paints on the market.

There are two ways you can use the Metallix Paint.

1) The first way is by applying the paint directly on to your piece of furniture. One thing to note is that Metallix paint is translucent. Meaning you can almost see through the first layer so, if you are going to use it as a paint you will need 4-6 layers.

2) The second way you can use the product is as a finishing embellishment. Meaning you simply apply the Metallix paint after you have used the clay.chalk.mineral paint. Using this method you will only need 1-2 coats.

Example: Amber Waves of Grain & Gold etc

When using Metallix you don't need a sealer because it has a built in sealer. With that said, I would still recommend using a top coat sealer if the piece needs more durability.

We have actually used the Metallix on top of the paint. What we did is we painted 7 paint sticks with Liberty and each stick we painted over with a different Metallix (just one layer) and it really changed the colour and the look of each one... so there is a lot of different things you can do to play around with this paint.
